THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS
The Galapagos Islands are a natural wonder located in the Pacific Ocean
about 1000 kilometers off the coast of Ecuador. The Galapagos Islands have 18
main islands and numerous smaller islets. These islands offer a unique and
wonderful landscape. They also offer opportunities for hiking, birdwatching,
and exploring volcanic landscapes. The archipelago has volcanic mountains, green
highlands, and beautiful beaches. Visitors can do various activities, such as
snorkeling with sea lions, diving to explore the vibrant marine life, hiking
through lava fields, and observing the iconic giant tortoises and numerous
other endemic species. The best time to visit the Galapagos Islands is from
December to May. In this season the weather is warmer, and the sea is calmer,
providing ideal conditions for wildlife viewing and water activities.
